Ministry, Money, and the United States

The love of God and people are what led us into a website/blog ministry. It has been a blessing to hear from people around the world and how the Word of God touches them. It is always great to hear of ministries around the world working for God to spread the Gospel to the world.

We have as of late started receiving many many pleas for money and financial helps. We do believe in helping those we can and feel led to sow seeds into various ministries as the Lord leads us to do. We can not however send monies to EVERYONE that asks. It would be great if we could, but it just isn't possible.

I want to explain to everyone the area of the United States we live in has needs of it's own. We have people right here in our area that don't have the ability to purchase food, provide for their health needs, or purchase life saving medications. There are people in our own backyard that need to hear the Gospel and be raised up as Disciples of the Word.

In the Bible there were needs for money and the Lord Jesus Christ didn't tell any of them to seek out multiple other ministries for financial support. INSTEAD HE did have the provision show up in the mouth of a fish, or move in the hearts of someone in that area to provide what was needed for either transportation or provisions of food. The cruise of oil lasted day after day, the fish and bread were multiplied, God dropped mannah from above, and over and over the stories reflect HIS move to provide all things as they are needed.

I love my brothers and sisters of Jesus around the world and I pray this writing is understood. I am only taking it to the scriptures as it has been weighing on my heart as to how "I" was to even begin to meet the needs of all these peoples and nations crying out to us. It isn't "I" that is "THE PROVIDER"... but rather JEHOVAH GOD ALMIGHTY!

I do feel the need to explain even though we live in the United States which is a nation of spoils in comparison to some... there are more people in this country living below the poverty level than above! Don't be fooled by the glitz and glamour of the movie screen and Hollywood. The fact is our Veterans are becoming homeless at a rate of 2% per day! These are men and women whom have risked their lives for our freedoms and yet once they are unable to remain servants to the government they are cast out into a crude world of forgetfulness. While this might seem shallow to some... it disturbs me.

People are loosing their homes daily. Whole families are being cast out into shelters and other helps just to survive the crashing economy here in the United States. It is the "outsourcing" of our jobs and monies for labor that has caused this national crisis. They have taken all the LABOR jobs and sent them out of this country to China, Vietnam, India, Mexico, etc. The once booming communities here are like ghost towns with all the Mom and Pop stores shutting the doors to bow down to the ever growing monopoly of giants like Wal-Mart.

My point is... we can't provide for those outside of our own country financially when there are so many needs right here in our own area of the world. May God continue to provide for all of us that are working to do HIS WILL!

I pray all needs are met by God around the world for HIS WILL to be done in the NAME OF JESUS! Amen.
