Oh, Father, we are only able to bear one day ahead at a time. We are not able to carry the weight of days gone by nor of the ones coming ahead. For you told us in Matthew 6:34 “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."
So I bring it all to you, you know my hurts from the past, you know my on goings of tomorrow. Thank you for bearing the weight of what I can not handle. You also said in Luke 12:25 "And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?"
May these doubts and insecurities of this life leave us today with the word of The Lord:
Matthew 6:25-26 “Therefore I tell you, do not be
anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor
about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and
the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither
sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds
them. Are you not of more value than they?"
In The Messiah's Holy Name, Amen!
